Submitted as part of Winter 2016 OWL.

Knitting according to stitch count for book review. Using a finer gauge with appropriate needles. Resulting scarf will be a gift for a pal who needs some color in his wardrobe.

Ribbing and chart finished. 96 of 120g left (24g) used.

On Valentine’s Day I decided this would be my #LetMommyKnit WIP. Since I left only 22g in the cake for the end of the scarf, I had to use my swatch to knit the end ribbing rows. I spent the next day weaving in the ends and blocking the scarf.

Before steam blocking and ironing, the scarf’s measurements were 58 inches by 6 inches.
After blocking and ironing, 66.5 inches by 7 inches.
