This is a great pattern, which I modify as needed (for instance, I never pattern the back of the hand).

I fear the cap and/or thumbs may be short, so I will not work in the ends for those just in case they have to be altered. Boy-child will be home for Thanksgiving, so he can try them on for a final “fitting.”

The yarn is perfect for a college boy - washable, not too expensive, durable.
