Trying these cuff down, CO 66 sts in ktbl1 p1 ribbing for 20 rounds. Choose the light yellow yarn to go with the multi, because I’m a bit tired of beige as contrast color.

As it turns out, the yellow being part of the multicolored thread sometimes obscures the pattern. (Of course, my slipped-stitch-knitting could be more regular …) But I like the unobtrusiveness of the Karree pattern very much and it’s funny how the pattern disappears when viewed from one angle and reappears when viewed from a different angle.

Leg: 5 pattern repeats.
Heel flap ober 33 sts, beginning and ending with 3 garter sts. The slip sts of round 2 are being continued by slip sts in every right side row.

Gusset: Relocated the points of decrease under the foot, decreasing as usual till I’m back at 33 sts for the sole and the pattern flow is closed. (This turn of the heel looks nice, have to keep that in mind for future socks in stranded pattern.)

Although I didn’t work these socks toe-up, I’m rating this pattern with 5 stars, because I really like the chart!
