The border charts are proving to be a bit difficult. It’s hard to keep track of where I am and with no stitch #, it’s hard to double check my work before it’s too late.
It also seems like not all of the directions were written in the chart version, which caused for a lot of confusion and many rip backs.

Got the beads, but I don’t have a small enough crochet hook. So this is being put on hold until I get one. Should be arriving soon, though!

Finished the body, now on to the border. Though I need to get some beads first.

Heh, I guess I shouldn’t doubt my knitting skills… I ripped back just fine and fixed my mistakes (purled the WS instead of knitting it). Moving right along!

Aaaaand, I have no idea what I did wrong, but this is so not right… and with all the multi-wraps, ripping back doesn’t really work… so I’m just going to start over. sad.

Now that I’ve leapt over the confusion of K1into3 (which I was doing right the whole time!), I’ve learned that I much prefer to read a chart than a written pattern. Visuals are better for me than letters & numbers.
