Notes

11/29/08
So far so good. Haven’t gotten to the cabling yet, but this seems to be a pretty quick knit and is easy to memorize (so far).
My yarn isn’t quite as bulky as recommend so I went up to a 15 needle. My gauge is a bit small, but I think it’ll be ok.

Got to the cabling. So EASY! This is the first time I’ve done cabling and I’m quite please with how quickly I was able to figure it out.

08/20/09
Continuing on with this project. I was bad and didn’t make any time for knitting for quite a while. But I’m estimating that I’ll finish this blanket in about 18 hours (or 9 days).

08/24/09
Finished one panel, started panel #2. I’m not sure if I should block the panels individually or if I should sew them all together and then block it as one piece. That sounds like it would be difficult though… blocking an entire throw blanket?

08/29/09
Finished panel #2 today. On to panel #3!

09/16/09
I finished and started a bunch of other projects, so this one isn’t going to be finished as soon as I’d hoped. I’m about halfway done with panel #3.

09/26/09
I’ve started panel #4, which is also one of the 2 left cross panels. Only 2 more panels to make and then I can block it and sew it together!

10/28/09
Finally finished panel #4! Work has been busy and I’ve also been working on 2 other projects as well. But on to panel #5!

01/15/10
So close to finishing! I just need a few more hours on panel #5 then I can stitch them all together and block. So excited!

01/19/10
Finished all 5 panels! Now I just need to block them all and seam them together. Not sure what kind of seaming I’m supposed to be doing, so I guess I’ll just make it up??

01/22/10
It’s all coming together! I blocked and seamed 2 panels together. Super easy. I’m blocking 2 more panels right now.
Currently, the blanket is 45” long… kinda small. I may need to knit up another panel to get the width close to 45”

01/23/10
The last panel is blocking and once it’s done and seamed on I’ll be finished! It’s a bit small, probably will be 32” x 45” once it’s completely finished.

01/27/10
Finished seaming the last panel… I really wish it was bigger, but for my first blanket it’ll do.
