First knitting project, a garter stitch cowl.
My boyfriend is knitting a cowl for me. All he knows is how to knit a stitch.

Thank you so much for many many sweet and fun messages for this project! I’ve received more than I can reply, both as comments and private messages, so I am adding a note here. I wish I can reply to them all, I truly mean it!

First of all, he said he started this project in a way to show his support for what’s very important to me - knitting. I left my long time career, lifestyle, and a city I grew up in, to pursue our knitting business. He proposed me with that cowl, actually!

Second of all, the photo with lots of squirrels was taken at the squirrel park in Machida, Tokyo. It is a tiny tiny zoo with only squirrels and a few other similar kinds of animals, but the area is quite pretty and we enjoyed our visit there. There were just SO many squirrels!

Third of all, while he was knitting the project, we traveled through the east side of Hokkaido island in the north. He kept stopping the car, got out and sat down on a random spot, and asked me to take a photo of his knitting!
And this has been his only project so far, but he thinks he is going to knit one project per year. He can do CO, BO, and P now.

Last but not least, I am amazed and touched by how many knitters get heart-warming supports from their partners. There are so many lovely stories… thank you so much for sharing them with me!!! I hope one day my now fiancé can make me knitting tools :)
