After an afternoon at the park with Karter, freezing in blustering cold winds, I decided to make her some headbands and practical hats.

The pink one is the bottom of the 1898 hat, which I will bind off with Icord. Hopefully the smaller gauge will make it the right size for an 18 mo old baby.

The multicolored one is done single thickness, following st/row count, with icord edges.
Making matching legwarmers. Ran out of the sock yarn, used random DK for Icord edges.

The striped hood one is something I made up, a simple hood with a scarf attached. The scarf will have a slit to make it stay on better.
I started with EOMCO on top of the head, so no seams.
Hood: 9” high, 6.75” deep (should have made 8”)
Scarf: 16” each side, 3” wide.

The Neon Stripes is worsted, so for toddler size (in ridges):
Cast on 3+7+3 Rows: 7, 6, 2, 6, 20, 6, 2, 6, 7. 3 needle bind off. 16”.
Legwarmers: 36 sts (34 would have been enough), 7” tall. Icord cast on and cast off.
