Notes

Carried together the mohair and loft are soft and lovely. At this weight the size will double for the shawl making a wonderful wrap. Almost ready to add the charcoal. J

I am about halfway in the pattern but because I knitted it bulky on larger needles it is about done. I am going to do a 30 stitch border using all the different colors to finish off the project. Pictures to follow.

I will photo and post pictures today. I thought I had knitted more than I had on this shawl. That is about to change. This will get done in January so I am getting to work on it today.

I finished the shawl today two weeks before Madrona where I bought the yarn last year. I need to weave in ends and block but that will get done today.

I did a couple of changes to the pattern. In my final stripe block and carried the black loft with the green Kid Silk haze for my green stripes. I did like that color combo better than the green loft and lime green Kid silk haze.

The final outer border is done with a 60% merino/40% possum blend in a dark olive green and carried with it a lime green Malabrigo merino lace weight yarn. The Possum should halo big time and make the whole border fuzzy and furry.

By using the size ten needles and a mohair/wool double yarn carry, I made a very generous sized and very warm shawl. It is so soft and cozy. I can hardly wait to wear it.
