I was gifted four bricks of Lion Brand Mandala Ombre for Christmas, not something I would choose for myself, so I am knitting chickens with it for my friends who have lost family members and beloved pets last year.

One thing I made a mistake on was not attaching the stitch markers to the knitting itself, so when it was time to stich the neck together down to the marker, I had to guess. I think I didn’t stitch down low enough, maybe a half inch more, because she pitches forward a slight bit more than I would like.

I named her “Feather Cox Richardson”, but I am sending her to a friend on the West Coast, so I may change it to “Miss Cluckamas County.”
