Casted on 40 stitches and used a German Twisted cast-on instead of the provisional cast-on mentioned in the pattern.

Project finished! So much fun and quick to knit. Love this yarn too! I kept knitting and periodically tried it on. I stopped knitting once the band fit all the way around my head, did a mattress stitch to seam ends, and moved the knot to cover the seam. Will make more!
