Notes

All in all, project is progressing. However, I, for some reason am having problems on the end and beginning of the row.

I recommend taking time on reading the chart: it is a bit tricky. Lack of a full-size chart doesn’t help either. But this is definitely doable.

I am crocheting the border ruffle now--this is progressing nicely. My angst over having flubbed some row ends and beginnings seems to be melding with the border.

I am excited about choosing the contrasting color for the border. I have a big assortment of different colors. The “sabiduria” colorway may look nice with a dark brown. We shall see…

Before I got too far on the ruffle, I blocked the main section of the scarf as I read from another “Raveler” that the border “cinches” the body. The fabric is very open now--we shall see how it works out.

Very happy with the finished shawl--it fits nicely around the neck. The Malabrigo lace yarn becomes a soft, light layer of warmth.

For me, the pattern wasn’t always crystal clear so I just rated the pattern as average. For those parts of the pattern I wasn’t quite sure of, I decided to “wing it” and the result came out just fine.
