Still a work in progress. This is a prototype. I’m going to continue to make different sizes, colors, and try different internal structures until I get a good ‘bunch’.

The grapes are attached to a hemp twine that is crochet around and then the grapes are tied to the crochet. It works but is not very stable. I have gotten some paper covered purple wire, and some vines from the woods. I’m going to experiment with them so the bunch falls more naturally and the grapes are more stable when hanging.

Completed my first bunch of grapes! Mixed different colored grapes together along with some variegated grapes to simulate a ripening bunch on the vine.
Modified from the first prototype, I used paper covered wire to attach the grapes around a thicker paper covered wire. Then I used monkey vines cut from the woods to simulate the coiled grape vines and crochet around them to turn them green. Added some large grape leaves to finish them off!

I’ve completed the grape bunches and a few leaves. Now I need to make many more leaves and wrap some vines. Still working on the vine situation to see how I want to set up the grapes. But I think they turned out pretty good. I used some creative colorings. There are 6 bunches in total varying from large to small.
