I’ve been meaning to make one of these for ages. I’ve always liked finding uses for the grocery bags I bring home from the store- I use them for lunches and for the small trash cans in bathrooms. They’re also really handy if you’ve got a crochet project with a lot of tiny parts that you need to keep all in one place!

I loved the idea of using hair ties for the elastic in the ends- my hair isn’t long enough to put in a ponytail anymore, so I’ve got a lot of spare hair bands laying around. I altered the pattern a little to make it more ‘open’. It’s very stretchy and expanded to hold an entire Kroger bag full of, well, bags. Worked up in a few hours- could have been faster if I’d done it all in one sitting.
