I made several attempts to finish the Avalon Top that I lusted after for so long, but everything kept going wrong. The yoke wouldn’t lay flat and turned out either too big or too small. Eventually I gave up and decided to start on a more practical sweater.

Doris Chan does not disappoint. I wanted something I could wear at work (they keep it uncomfortably cool year round) that wasn’t too bulky or hot. This sweater is perfect.

My only complaint is that I didn’t buy all my yarn at once, so some of the sweater is a bit yellower than the rest. It’s so comfy that I don’t care. I’m thinking of adding buttons later.
