Based on other’s notes I’m going to try this with worsted and size US6 needles. This has been in my library for so long and I’ve been dying to try it so now’s the time!

3/7/16 so far so good. Knitting pattern as written and up to about the middle of the top section.

3/8/16 finished the hood this morning, on to sewing the seam and the bottom on to the cradle. I’m thinking I’ll do a crochet edge around the basked rather than the icord. Icord seems like an awful lot of unnecessaryness (ha ha is that a word? probably not) but we’ll see what it looks like when I get going.

3/9/16 just need to attach the buttons to the drawstring and add the trim around the top. I decided to add the scalloped crochet to the top, just thought it added a little frilliness to the bag :-) So cute!!

The pattern is more time consuming than I thought it would be but definitely worthwhile and not difficult in the least. Instructions are quite good and easy to follow.
