omitted sc edging so as to preserve the gradual color changes

completed circular scarf with tc row connecting to beginning sc row. (If you do this, make sure that the right -or wrong- sides are together, then hold them together with something like a stitch marker. I started and restarted this row several times as it took on a life of it’s own and wanted to twist one half to a full turn)
