After finishing the yoke and sinking 14.5 hours into this project I realise I read the pattern gauge completely wrong. I thought it was supposed to be 23 sts, and my gauge is actually 23-24. My gauge swatch was 22.5 so I thought it was too loose and made an effort to knit a bit tighter, which seems hilarious now. Makes sense why this feels like it’s 4 sizes too small!

Will either have to frog or see if I’ll have enough yarn to extend the yoke enough to fit, although I’m not too hopeful about that.

Blocking to determine accurate gauge. Pre block = 24.5 sts 37 rows

Restarted from the short rows on 4mm. Didn’t feel a need to redo the ribbing as it fits comfortably. Making a size M this time.

For the sleeve I worked 12 rounds after the last decrease round and then 28 rounds of ribbing for the cuff.

Sleeve used 40.5g of the fingering weight yarn.

All ribbing was on 3.5mm needles. Increased st cound by 10% before ribbing. Used Norwegian purls to see if it made ribbing neater. Made a small improvement but not worth the extra time it took.

Total time: 38 hours 35 minutes
