Cast on 64 sts. I want the leg to be shorter than the sample so I worked 5 repeats total of the chart, including the first unmoving one.

For the start of the lace pattern on the left sock I knit 28 sts, worked the first row of the chart, and then knit back to BOR. I mirrored this on the right sock.

Since I wasn’t following the pattern for leg length I got a bit confused on how to make the socks finish at the BOR before starting the heel, while making sure the lace pattern remained at the front. In the end I just accepted that I’d have to have one round partly worked, which doesn’t bother me anyway.

The gusset was feeling a bit tight so I decreased every 3rd row instead of every 2nd. After picking up sts the first round was plain knit, the next was a dec round. After that I worked 2 plain knit rounds followed by a decrease round

Realised I’ve been making 2 mistakes for the whole sock. Firstly instead of Sl1-k2tog-psso I’ve been slipping 2 sts, knitting one and passing both slipped stitches over. I don’t think I started off doing that, but don’t know for sure and if I was doing it correctly at the start I don’t know when or why I accidentally changed.

I’ve also been using this made up decrease instead of the k3tog. I noticed the stitches didn’t look like they were flowing in the right direction, so double checked the pattern and realised my mistake.

Neither of these mistakes are noticeable, so I’m just going to leave it!
