There is something so satisfying about starting and finishing a block in one evening. Instant gratification over and over again.

I am using the Mad Hatter mini skein kit that Wonderland Yarns created for our 20th Anniversary. In order to get two blocks out of every mini skein, I limited the garter stitch edging to 4 ridges instead of 5.

Instead of casting on 8 stitches and immediately increasing, I cast on 16 and skip the first increase. I find this less fiddly and have no problem closing the hole with the tail later.
