I used a random stripe generator to decide the stripe pattern for the grass.
I did the first blue row TBL. Then for the white row, I did a treble crochet down to the row below on the middle stitch of each five plain dc.
I followed the dark/light pattern from the original random stripe generation until it seemed long enough.
I just kind of winged the sheep. Their bodies are either circles or ovals with a scallop around the outside. I followed the instructions from this pattern for the heads/ears/fluff. To make the legs, I crocheted a chain and then attached it. It was the best way I could find to make it as thin as I wanted, and also have it not show through on the back of the blanket.
Overall, I think this turned out really cute! Things I would change if I make it again:
-I don’t like the blues I chose for the sky, I think they are too harsh a contrast. But I didn’t want to change brands, and the green was already completed.
-I might add a few more sheep.
-I don’t like the random stripes. I think it’s just me, but I really prefer nice, neat, orderly stripes. I thought the random stripes would make it appear more grass-like, but it just looks (to me) like I don’t know how to count my rows, haha!
-I really wish I could have figured out a way to put a little white on top of each “fence post.” I think it would look more like a fence if it had that. But, I couldn’t get it to line up… So I would work harder at that if I try this again.
