I’m a sucker for all things retro and bought the kit for this pattern, like, two seconds after it was released.

The yarn is super-soft and very loosely plied (and a bit splitty). I’ve had terrible luck with bamboo-cotton blends in the past (see here and here), and will be curious to see how well this holds up on the body, long term. Anticipating a bit of stretch/growth, I decided to knit the 37” size for my 36” chest; it resulted in about 2-4” of positive ease. Perfect.

In my thirteen-odd-year knitting tenure, I’ve never duplicate stitched before; it turns out that I’m terrible at it. There is a strong chance that I may rip out this attempt and try again at some point in the future.

My own failings aside, this is cute as hell and I’m delighted that such a pattern exists.
