Good pattern with a cute result. I don’t generally like video tutorials and never use them, but you pretty much do have to refer to the video in several places where specifics aren’t written into the pattern. That said, the pattern tells you exactly where to look for each part within the video so you don’t have to guess or watch the whole thing, and the pacing and demonstration is very well done.

I used a thick worsted acrylic yarn so I did have to steam out the tail feathers because they curled dramatically. My stems were also too thin and floppy to support the larger/heavier size, so I glued him down to a base to stand. It makes him bob back and forth when moved which is actually kinda cute. This is for my mom, who likes roosters.
