This was such a passion project! The second I saw this pattern I knew I had to make it. I knew I wanted to use Sew Happy Jane’s bulky in the colorway Sanguine. She suggested that I dye the yarn myself!! (A literal dream!)
This color is just stunning. I don’t even like the color red. I don’t own anything in red. That should say everything about this color!

I used my bamboo needles and got gauge, but after knitting the body a bit, I rechecked, and realized it was actually 11 stitches and not the 12 I got with my swatch. And I made a big 6” square swatch, so what’s up with that?!

Did all the math for my gauge and calculated how many rows to knit the arms and body to get as close to the measurements as possible.

I have pretty narrow shoulders, so I decided to decrease stitches to get to they size XS when I got to the colorwork section.

Despite all my careful measuring, the body and arms are pretty long. I may do some surgery later on to remedy this, but for now it’ll do.
