Six Shawlettes knit from Oct 2010 to May 2011 for Nina’s wedding.

I intended to make five Annis, but after the first two, I realized Abrazo would make a nice break.

In actuality each shawlette took between 80 and 100 hours to complete. I finished the lace section on all five, then did the simple stockinette short rows while I travelled in the Spring.

NOTE: Fond as I am of the long-tailed cast-on, I learned on previous shawlettes, Long-Tailed Cast-on’s lack the stretchiness you need for dramatic edging. I used the simple backwards loop cast on (it’s a series of half hitches.)

I put 6 mm glass seed beads on all five Bridesmaids shawls.
