Notes

Love this block! As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to knit it.

There is no way the block will be only 10 1/2” with this yarn. Even going down a needle size won’t achieve that size. Gauge tells me it will be about 14” and I am happy with that.
Several days ago I started the block and was knitting too loosely. After the trees were done, the block started to spread width-wise. I frogged and restarted and completed today. I’m happy with tension correction.

I will make the decision as to whether I will continue with the blocks when I see the one for February. At 14” this block can become a pillow if I decide not to continue.

NOTE TO SELF - need the extra wrap around my index finger to keep tension even.
