A little bunny knit using Huze Long Hair Angora yarn for both the bunny and cardigan. The yarn is very soft and you can see the fuzzy effect.
I used parts of two patterns to knit the bunny.
For most of the bunny I used the Baby Bunny Rabbit pattern (linked above) with modifications. The entire bunny was knit with the white yarn held double on 2.25mm needles. I used the pattern as written to knit the body. For the head, I used M1 rather than KFB where noted. I also reversed most of the SSK and K2tog decreases for the face. For the ears, I doubled the cast on and knit in the round, repeating each row two times.
For the legs and arms, I followed the Bo the Bear pattern by Forest Knitting Toys found on Etsy.Available here I again held the yarn double. For the foot, I added an extra round after row 7.
9mm black glass eyes are sewn in place.
I used the Poppy Cardigan pattern, linked above. I knit using a single strand on 2.75mm needles. This is just the best top down pattern for softie or doll cardigans. Easy to adjust the fit as you knit.
In June, I had emailed Huze Yarn to ask about a pattern featured on their website and after a few helpful emails, I purchased some of their yarn. Glad I did. It does shed…so having a lint roller handy was helpful. Any loss due to shedding, did not affect the project.
