Great pattern!! Quick knit! The garter ridges allow for some give in the hat depth while still looking neat. For the bulky yarn, I used a cast on of 60 stitches on 6mm needles and did a 1x1 rib for the first 10 rows. Because Audrey has very thick hair, I only knit half the suggested final ribbing on smaller needles before binding off. The opening at the top is perfect for her.

The Misti alpaca yarn is soft and gorgeous. Even if it stretches a bit with time, the hat should be fine.
