This dress was knit with a long cast on of 96 stitches. I used 8 repeats of the chart pictured on the left. The chart is offset at the start so a snowflake is centered on the front of the dress.

I knit the dress using my usual Seasonal Dress pattern modifications found here. I knit a deeper garter stitch hem using two colors. The seven rows of garter stitch hem on the chart were knit flat as follows:

1. Long tail cast on -96 stitches- red
2. Knit one row-red
3. Add second color, gray- knit 2 red, knit 2 gray across
4. Turn work, repeat knitting in alternate colors
5. Turn work, repeat knitting in alternate colors
6. Turn work, repeat knitting in alternate colors
7. Turn. Knit row in red
8. Turn. Knit row in red.
9. Turn. Join in the round and continue knitting starting on row 9 of the chart.

Another possibility for this hem would be to join in the round sooner, knitting an purling to achieve the garter stitch hem.

1. Long tail cast on -96 stitches- red
2. Knit one row-red
3. Join in round and purl one row in red
4. Add second color, gray- knit 2 red, knit 2 gray across
5. Purl in alternating colors following established pattern
6. Knit in alternating colors
7. Purl in alternating colors
8. Knit one round in red
9. Purl one round in red
10. Continue knitting only beginning with row 9 of the chart.

Decreases at the waist start on row 30 of the chart ( row 27 of the seasonal dresses pattern).

The bunny was knit using Sublime Extra Fine merino DK in caramel using 2.75mm needles.
