Two dresses for two seasons…summer blues and winter blues. A simple row of daises adorns the hem of the summer dress and sweet snowflakes flutter across the winter dress. Both are fun patterns to play with using various colors for the seasons. The white and gray version is based on the same snowflake chart with a few details removed. I also embroidered beads onto one snowflake for sparkle.

I used my selection of mini skeins from The Wool Barn to create these. My apologies, but I do not know the exact colorways. However, you can find a selection of the beautiful colors dyed here . For this yarn, I used a 2.25mm needle but any fingering weight with 2.5 mm needle should work nicely.

Winter dress- I used a long tail cast on of 90 stitches, and did 10 repeats of the chart pictured on the left. I followed my usual dress modifications found here The first 5 rows are garter stitch done on straight needles before joining in the round on row 6. The long tail cast on is row 1. When the dress was finished, I added “ gold” centers to each snowflake by sewing a row of duplicate stitches. It was definitely the “pop” the dress needed.

Summer Dress- Same as above using a 90 stitch cast on but I did 15 repeats of the daisy chart and no duplicate stitching.

The lace collar was crocheted with a 2.75mm crochet hook and white No. 10 cotton thread. I followed the collar pattern found in Julie Williams’ Textured Dresses pattern linked above.

The hoodie was modified to fit my bunny. The basic pattern I used is linked above. It is the Pug with Anorak by Barbara Prime.

The bunny was knit on 2.75mm neeedles using Sublime extra fine merino DK in caramel.
