A cat dress…with a tail! This was a fun and quick knit. I used a long tail cast on of 90 stitches and alternated rows of white and gray decreasing to 36 stitches in rows 30 and 31 before beginning the sleeves/bodice. I did the sleeve hole bind off and sleeve cast on rows in gray. Then I knit the bodice and sleeves in white. I used duplicate stitch to make the cat face. The chart is on the left. Since there are 14 stitches on the bodice, the cat head is slightly off center. The bow fills in the wider space. Under the nose stitch, I added a straight stitch over the next two stitches below to make his nose more “cat-like”. I embroidered the ribbon.

For the tail, I did a 6 stitch I cord in alternating colors, 5 rows each color, and a total of 40 rows long. I attached it on the back of the dress at the waist next to the open edge.

I followed my usual dress modifications found here . The bunny was knit with Filatura di Crosa Zara in Latte 1773.
