Notes

I am so pleased with the results of the swirled slipped stitches but this took forever. Knitting this pattern without a cable needle, in the round, required loads of patience. But as I saw the pattern emerge, I was so intrigued that I had to keep knitting.

For the skirt, I followed the slipped stitch technique in the Crossroads hat pattern linked above. I used a long tail cast on of 99 stitches, but had to decrease to 95 for the stitch pattern in the first few bottom rows on the back of the dress. I knit in the round until the decreases were needed. I hid the first set of decreases by purling two together in the garter stitches. For the last row of decreases before the waist, I knit two together through the back loop mainly in the front of the dress to keep the look of the slipped stitches and create fullness in the front.

The bunny was knit on 2.75 needles using Filatura di Cosa yarn in Latte.
