Love this pattern. I made my first gnome in 2015 and fully intended to make a batch. Every year, I hung my lonely gnome him on our tree and promised myself I would take the time to knit more as gifts. Fast forward to 2021… I finally made 5.

I made the small gnomes. For the arms I did a simple icord with 5 stitches for 6 rows. I followed the directions for the gray hat, but alternated stripes doing 3 green and two white. I also skipped the wraps and turns on the hat.

I used acrylic dk yarn and 2.5mm needles for the gnomes and a white glimmer fingering weight for the snowflake embroidery. Using both that and a dk weight green yarn with a subtle sparkle makes them look extra festive.

They look perfect on a gift, a wreath and on the tree.
