Notes

This project was in my queue for the longest time, complete with purchased yarn. 18 months at least.

It was a surprisingly quick knit. Well, not that surprising considering the weight of the yarn. I guess that says more about me knitting things with relatively tiny dk weights or less. Work travel can result in tonnes of progress on the train and in the hotel.

I was worried that it would be a little small, but it has a nice, snug fit that is quite flattering.

Notes
I knit the rib around the front and hood in one piece. Sure, 298 stitches were a lot to pick up and knit, but I really didn’t want to see a seam in the front of the hood.

I also stabilised the back neck with a row of crochet chain stitch as described by the yarn harlot here. I see the desire for a continuous cable from the back to the hood, but I don’t see the need for the horrible stretching and deforming that would take place without some kind of stabilisation.
