Swatched in the round and managed to get gauge with recommended needle size. (When I used this yarn for the Steph’s baby blanket I went down to 3.25 mm to make the fabric tighter. However, that was worked flat.) NB: Blocking the swatch was essential as the unblocked swatch was off by +0.5 sts per inch.

Knitting the third size (second size in the parentheses), finished length of 25.5 inches means each stripe should be approximately 5 1/8 inches in height.

Reached the side shaping after the bust.

I want a little more of a defined shape (~31” waist), so I’m going from 240 to 192 stitches—decreasing 48 stitches over the 6”.

To achieve this, I’m doing the 4 st decrease at the sides, along with a decrease at either end of a centre panel: place a marker 24 sts from either side of the start of round. K to 2 sts before marker, ssk, sm. Work round as specified in pattern until you reach the second centre panel marker. Sm, k2tog, knit to end of round.

Work 1 decrease round every 6 rounds—I synced these with the rounds where I worked the cable to help me keep track!
