The contrast yarn on the cuff, heel, and toe was stash yarn given to me by a friend, not sure of its provenance.

My gauge was a bit off even after switching to 2.75 mm needles, so here’s what I ended up doing to achieve an 8” circumference.

CO 56 sts on 2.5 mm. Knit 2x2 ribbing for approximately 25 rounds/2 inches.

Switch to 2.75 mm.

Start knitting pattern for 72 sts. While knitting first round, increase 16 sts evenly.

Knit leg for desired length (3 repeats + 11 rounds worked for this pair).

Switch to 2.5 mm and first colour, do shadow wrap heel.

Switch back to 2.75 mm and resume knitting in pattern, doing sprinkle pattern for the sole.

2 inches before desired foot length, switch back to 2.5 mm and first colour. Begin standard decrease (alternating) until 40 sts remain. Then decrease every round until 24 sts remain. Kitchener stitch to close.
