A shawl for my friend Lauren, because I haven’t made anything for her yet. She picked the pattern.

This went extremely smoothly. Rheinlust is both beautiful and incredibly easy to do. I put stitch markers in between every block of 12 stitches, just so I didn’t have to count as much (laziness ftw). I also didn’t use a lifeline! I regretted this only once, when I was doing the decreases and read Chart C incorrectly at first—I had to frog 12 rows very, very carefully.

This knits up fast and tension never seemed to be an issue. All I have to do now is block it.
