After seeing the thrummed mittens I made for Amanda, my other bestie Rebecca requested some for herself. She picked the colours, and I got to work. Each pair has become easier and faster!

For posterity: to achieve roughly 8.5” circumference with a gauge of 5 sts per inch, I did 32 cuff sts increasing to 42 sts for the hand.

Worked up to 15 gusset sts over 23 rnds:

• Increase followed by 2 even rnds 5x, then
• Increase followed by 3 even rnds 2x

40 sts for closure, 1” closure length, 8 sts in dec group

Final length from end of cuff to top of hand: 7.5”
Thumb length: 2.75”
