Notes

Warped with a thinner Bute from Texere than my green one. The wefts were three DKs in almost matching shades of blue, cream and brown. The blue was a luscious Denim form Sheepfold. Once I warped the loom and showed the children how to use it, I pretty much left them to it. Iā€™m classing this as true Saori style weaving as the children really freed up my thinking by playing around with how many times they passed the shuttle through before changing the shed, when they changed colours and so on.
After a bit of shocking between hot and cold water, I chucked the fabric (33yards of it!) in the tumble dryer for a bit. I left it longer than the green one, so it shrunk more (came down to 26yards, and from 10ā€ wide to 8ā€ wide). It became very soft. Lovely!
