Edwin David Busch made his debut on Saturday the 21st, just a week before Heidelfest, and they’re planning to bring him for everyone to meet! Katie and Paul love his LOTR blanket and it’s all he’s been using since they brought him home, so I needed to make him a matching hat! Started and finished in about 3 hours.

I followed the directions exactly, except I made a purl column under the apex of the orange triangle so it’s more like a pumpkin. The brim still rolls fine, but needs a nudge to get it going. I also decreased to 4sts and worked a twisted iCord for the top.

Twisted iCord on 4sts: (K2, slip 1, k1) 3 times, then knit the 4th row across. This produces a tight spiral without too much distortion.
