I’m totally not buying this very basic pattern. I swatched with a few different arrangements of stockinette and garter, and decided to work:

6 stitch seed stitch sides (I don’t like garter for edgings)
7 rows seed stitch top and bottom edges
5 rows stockinette between patterns
alternating single garter bands with garter lace section

I’m getting 20sts in 4”, so for a 24” wide blanket, I’ll CO 120.

Note for lace row: to keeps the ends symmetrical, after border stitches, k2, then (yo k2tog) across to last st, k1

January 21
I just finished the first ball, and I’m at 8”, so blanket should reach 32ish!

January 26
End of second ball, 16” length. And overall with 26”

January 28
I marked the 8th eyelet row as center, so 7 on each side for 15 total. Technically, I should be able to do 16 total, but I have no intention of playing yarn chicken.
