Notes

My gauge indicated size 2 needles were slightly too big, so I decided to use size 1 needles. I didn’t realize there were size 1.5 needles, so the ribbing is too small. We’ll see how it ends up. -- Ripped out after ~20 rows to exclusively use the size 2 needles.

Note: It should have been obvious, but the butterfly pattern continues throughout. I missed that part, and had to rip out ~10 rows.

I made the thumb bind off too tight, and there was a giant hole created by the thumb crease. I weaved the leftover yarn from the bind off to cover/close it.

Finished! Decided not to make the butterflies even though they’re the highlight of the piece because with the vibrant color and distinct stitches, I was afraid it would be too much.

My mom loved how they turned out, and requested me to make her a pair.
