I made the shoulderette with a single skein (400 yards) of laceweight.

Almost ran out of yarn. I had to tear out my swatch to get enough, and the tiny ball in the last photo is all I had left in the end -- about 10 ft.

I blocked it as a semi-circle with a 20 inch radius. It is slightly smaller than the designed 23.5 inch radius, which make sense given that I used size 4 instead of size 5 needles.

Hilariously, after soaking for 20 minutes, I couldn’t find any of my T pins, and my regular pins were all in the office. I improvised with the wires and masking tape.

The yarn leaked some dye into the water, but the shawl looks fine. Not sure what this means for future washes.
