Notes

This was total “me” knitting. I loved this pattern the very first time I saw it and the finished sweater is awesome!

I made one simple mod to this sweater and that was just to lengthen the lower back by adding an extra 8 sts. Other than that I knit the pattern exactly as written. Oh! Except I also knit the center back lace panel on smaller needles because I didn’t want it to be too gaping and also when I did it on 3.75mms the lace panel came out closer to 15” square rather than the 13” square that the pattern calls for. So I started off on 3.25mms and worked my way up thru 3.5mms and then knit the lat couple rounds of the panel on 3.75mms. Worked well! Oh! And I also lengthened the sleeves just a tad so they’re full length.

This sweater could definitely benefit from a lovely brooch to keep the fronts in closed on colder days, I’ll have to keep my eyes open for something.

The yarn used was actually a sample batch of merino/cashmere/silk that I was playing around with, it’s lovely and is really similar to my Purple Label merino/cashmere/nylon sock yarn.
