My very first knitted piece! I was intimidated by the pattern at first, so I practiced on some cheap yarn first to get it right.

When I was actually working on the piece, I would use a stitch marker and placed it each time I did a lace repeat along the row. This helped a bunch! Also, I used a recurring checkbox on the notes app in my phone to remember which row I was on (1, 2, 3, or 4).

Upon finishing, it didn’t really look like I wanted - you couldn’t really see the holes created from the lacework. I decided to block it a ton - not intentionally! I realize now just how far wool stretches. However, I am so happy with how it turned out. It may be bigger than a typical baby blanket, but I love it.
