It’s so cute and simple! But I made some modifications …

Body
Although I found the pattern beautifully simple, the finished shape didn’t look like a duck to me. Thus, I did some shaping with a needle and yarn. Now I think it looks like a duck. :)

Head
I failed to make the little tuffs on top of the head, but I’m okay with the resulting large, single loop. Maybe now he could be used as a Christmas tree ornament? Eyes are buttons fastened with thread.

Bill
Made a change in the last row, shaping with graduated sc’s, hdc’s and a dc. Then, I folded it and secured with straps across the inside and a few stitches here and there.

Scarf
Not part of the pattern, but he needed it! Just a row of 29 hdc’s (US) with a space near the center for fastening the scarf without tying it. Instead, I stitched it on. So cute!
