Cast on 100 with yarn doubled to make a bulky fabric. I picked this number because I wanted to stay true to the pattern, and I like cowls to be a little loose around the shoulders. The top can always be cinched in with a beautiful shawl pin if it hangs out more than I like & it looks like it will, from the designer’s pictures.

This is one of those “just one more row” projects. I was up half the night because I enjoyed the pattern so much, I didn’t want to put it down. The yarn is an extremely soft sport weight baby alpaca, kettle dyed here at the farm in my favorite colors….reds, pinks, oranges, & golds.
