Love this pattern. Must try it again and follow it to the letter this time since if it turns out too small, I can just add more rows.

Ralph Waldo Emerson’s “A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds” pretty much describes Jojolands Rhythm yarn with its long color changes. This pattern is done in dc rib which emphasizes the darks and the lights with its texture. It would be foolish to make this pattern in a plain stitch and plain yarns when the variety adds so much to jacket.
Team Tie-in: I added a high collar and plain banded trim to mimic the shrug on this steampunk cover, making the jacket in variations of our team color, brown, to mimic the sepia tone that so much steampunk illustration is done in.
Update. I wanted long sleeves, so I kept crocheting around the arm opening, decreasing at the under arm until there were 48 stitches and then working until the ball of yarn gave out. So two more balls, and probably one more since one ball gives me a 3/4 sleeve. That’s 6.5 for the body, 9.5 for the whole sweater.
