Coat Collection

Oh, dear…. I can barely remember knitting this (which is why I should have written notes, then)… well, it was about a year, ago while inspired with Spring (hence the color and the little purl bumps remind me of budding) but I didn’t finish it when expected. Summer hit and I lost the opportunity for completion as it was too hot (no air conditioning, here). 1 year later, with another beautiful Spring upon us, I find myself happily giving this the proper attention it deserves and bringing it to its lovely completion. As you see, I did opt for a more classic button as opposed to the self-covered as seen on the pattern. The buttons are purely for design; large snaps (size 4) underneath are acting as agents for closure. Also, seam binding is sewn to the back neck edge for durability and non-stretch property as with most of my over-sized garments. I think the coat is delightful and I am beginning to imagine creative fashion options…
