Notes

I was motivated by my first shoulder-warming shrug here named Take Off the Chill Chic. I immediately fell in love with this version as seen in Rowan Studio Issue Two. I call this The Statement Piece because without exception, throughout this holiday, it was the show piece of the outfit.

After knitting this up, which was quick and easy except that I needed one more ball of yarn than what was required (thank goodness I always purchase 1 or 2 extra depending on the size of the project), I noticed when I wore it, the front bib part would curl up depending on the movement of my arms. I couldn’t STAND that so…. I have sewn a length of twill tape from shoulder seam to shoulder seam on the inside to hold the knit more tautly. If you are a seamstress, think interfacing with its intended purpose. Worked like a charm!

Also, on a personal note, this marks the end of my first year posting my hand knits on Ravelry. But mostly, I would like to wish a Happy New Year to everyone!
