Notes

This cabled arming cap is part of a series of my LARPer knits project called “Gambesons of the Sahul.” This type of cap is worn under a fighter’s helmet to prevent chafing. This makes the perfect helmet liner for cyclists.

The crown it picked up from the band, ear flaps (optional) are sewn on. The braided cable pattern signifies the Sundahnese infantry. I made this from Joseph Galler’s “Tweedypima.” It’s ultra-soft, even after five washings.
This pattern will soon be made available through Cascade Yarns.
